a great opportunity

It’s a good opportunity to improve our oral English

Today we have invited two foreigner university students who are from the central china normal university. One is Mr.sule,(just translate from sound of Chinese) .  another one is Miss Malina。 They are both from the foreign countries. They like children, they like English, too. One of our friend whose major’s English in the same university representing us to invite the two foreigners. they arrived at our city at 11:45 this morning. So we have a chance to have lunch together. During the lunch time we really don’t know how to treat our guests. We just do something in our traditional way to ask them for more dishes, more drinks. Although we know little about how to show our enthusiasm at the table, we really have a good time together.

After the lunch, we take a walk to the little park called river-side-park. We talk about the methods of English teaching. I know Mr.Sule majors chemistry in the university, but he can teach English , he tells me why he can do it. Because he learnt English in many other countries. And he really thinks the methods are very important. He tells me teach English must have a good method. After the good talk , we take some pictures together. And then we lead them to our school to have some English classes.

 In the first class, a big class of 120 students, our friends begin their first English class to the young children from primary school, for it’s the first time to very close to the foreigner, our students are very never, they can’t have a good react with the two teachers. The two foreigners who feel a little difficult to teach English to the children. But they don’t give up. They try hard to find a good way to encourage our students to be active in class. By times going, they find many good topics to make students show their English talents, the class goes on fluently. Forty minutes later, they finish the first class, our students are very polite. They say thank you to the foreigners. Some children have prepared some gifts to them. These scenes really touch me.

After a short rest, they go to the west section of our school, and have some mini classes in different classes, each time they getting in one class, they always use a good way to encourage our students to say something in English. Our students are very happy when they teach them English. First of all, we have a good time this day.

After a little rest , we have dinner together again, we talk something about sule’s hometown. it’s very funny, for in his homeland , there are many dangerous animals like lions, tigers  around some villages, we talk how to protect their children safe. He says that the most time the animals may not to fight the people including children. So many times they are safe.

A good day has gone, eyes on the car driving them disappear by time gone, I have a great feeling about meeting the two foreigners. I and all of us hope we have more time to get together. Thank you our friends who come from distance. Take care!
