1. Greetings

   Good morning, class.

1).Get the students to talk about the pictures and revise transportation.

2).Revise take a bus /by bus ,take a train /by train, take a plane /by plane , take a car/by car ,take a boat /by boat ,bake a subway /by subway ,ride a bike /by bike ,walk /on foot.

3).Revise How do you get to school ? I/We get to school by …/take a/the…to school.

How does she /he get to school ?He /She gets to school by…/ takes a /the ..to school. It takes …minutes.

1).How do I get to …? with the pictures to teach First I…..,then ..

2).How does he /she get to …? First …,then …,next …,finally … Give them many pictures .

   Based on the presentation work above, the students are familiar with the topic: how to get to some places. With the words first ,next, then, finally .Now the students can do the listening part.

   Pre-listening:

① Ask the students to familiarize the picture, knowing that the student in the picture get to school in different ways

②Help the students to understand the listening task: Listen and check.

While-listening:

In the process of listening, the focus is developing the students’ skill of listening for specific information. In this listening practice, the students need to be developed to listen to “in what way ( this information has been given in the picture)” specifically.

Post-listening:

①Discuss the answers to the questions with the students.

②Play the tape again and pause where the correct answer is, with the purpose of developing the students’ awareness of listening for specifice information.

ⅳ. Production

   After presentation work and listening practice, the students have got enough         information input. Now the students come to the stage of oral production.

①    Make conversations in pairs about how the students get to a place ,with first ,then, next ,finally to answer.

Write a short passage with the words below.
