In the unit of 5, we have learnt how to describe the animal (animals) is (are) doing something. Students should to understand how to express these things. But they are really confused by the different patterns forms between confirm clause and question clause. For example, they make sentences with the given words below: are, the, climbing, tigers, tree. (?)They always pay no attention to the question mark or dot. They may make the same sentence. It is hard to make student have a clear idea. How can I do it? I teach them in this way, I write the words on the board, and then have them to make a sentence when a dot at the end. After several times for practice, then have students to make a sentence with a question mark at the end. Let them compare with the two sentences, make them try their best to find out the different order of the words in the sentences, they may know it. Then start lots exercises. Make sure they know it clearly.
